Since the last 50 years, Shri Suresh Jain has been a prominent figure in the pan-India Jain community. He is actively associated with various social and religious societies and organizations at the national and regional levels as a prominent office bearer. His untiring efforts have been instrumental in pioneering the world’s tallest monolithic Jain idol of Lord Rishabhadeva, the first Jain tirthankar, at Mangi Tungi in Nashik district in Maharashtra. At 108 feet, the Statue of Ahimsa, as it is called, was certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s tallest Jain statue in 2016. In recognition of Shri Suresh Jain’s selfless contributions in this regard, he was felicitated with the Bhagwan Rishabhadeva International Award in 2018 by the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis in the gracious presence of Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind.
Shri Suresh Jain has been a chartered member of the Rotary Club since 1974 and played an instrumental role in the eradication of poliovirus in Uttar Pradesh. He has been felicitated on different occasions by renowned organizations for his exemplary services to the community.
Shri Suresh Jain established the Teerthanker Mahaveer Hospital in 2008 to render best-in-class medical services to the community at a very reasonable cost.

The aim of Shri Suresh Jain is not to earn profits from these patients. He is a philanthropist who is rendering services to the community by serving the underprivileged sections and affording them free medical treatment in his hospital. There has never been an incident wherein a patient was denied treatment for the dearth of money.

Humanity par excellence during COVID-19 pandemic
The Teerthanker Mahaveer University Hospital was converted into an exclusive COVID-19 Hospital in April 2020 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to treat coronavirus patients from five districts of Moradabad Division namely, Moradabad, Rampur, Bijnor, Amroha and Sambhal. The hospital was accorded Level-3 status (i.e. for treating patients with maximum comorbidities) for serving patients severely suffering from this deadly pandemic.
More than 3,500 coronavirus-infected patients have been cured successfully at TMU Hospital and have returned fit.
TMU Hospital has treated the highest number of coronavirus-infected patients as compared to any other private hospital in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath has appreciated the efforts of Shri Jain on several occasions in this context.
The Medical College of TMU has also successfully initiated BSL-2 Molecular Laboratory for the purpose of RT-PCR testing, a gold standard for all viral infection tests. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath on 31 August 2020.
The on-duty team of medical doctors, dental doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, pharmacists, and the ancillary staff derived their inspiration and impeccable motivation from Chancellor Shri Suresh Jain, who oversaw the smooth conversion of the hospital to a COVID-19 Care Center. TMU Hospital doctors and staff have played a prominent role and rendered their invaluable services to the country during these excessively uncertain times.
The University is moving forward with a firm determination to excel in providing services to the needy, thus contributing to the growth engine of the nation.
It is important to mention here that no government grant or financial assistance from any national or international organization has been received by Shri Suresh Jain for the establishment or running of the university and hospital.
Shri Suresh Jain is an educationist by profession and philanthropist at heart. He ensures that the daughter of a poor man is not deprived of education. For this purpose he has initiated several scholarships in the university. He ranks high among the contemporary ambassadors of the Brass City Moradabad and has carved out a niche for himself in a city of enterprising brass exporters.
Shri Jain is a champion of ecology and biodiversity. Staying true to his nature of leading by example, he has planted more than 60000 trees in his village school near Moradabad to protect and conserve the land. The entire campus of Teerthanker Mahaveer University has a lush green cover, which is home to a rich biodiversity.
Shri Jain lives by the principle of 'simple living high thinking'. His life and achievements are living testimony of it. Shri Jain’s life is a great example for the society and youth to follow.
